How we use our Twitter account.

Our availability

Our communications team manage our Twitter account. We will tweet about our latest news, and events and publications. Our communications team manage our Twitter account during office hours, Monday to Friday. There may be times when Twitter is unavailable. We do not accept responsibility for lack of service due to Twitter downtime.

If you have an enquiry about official business please phone or write to us and we will be happy to help. We do not use our Twitter feed to respond to queries about official business.

Direct messages and @replies

We read all direct messages and make sure that any emerging themes or helpful suggestions are passed to our colleagues. We will also keep an eye on @replies, but if you have any enquiry please phone or write to us as we will not be able to reply to tweets about official business.

To protect our staff from unacceptable behaviour, we reserve the right to block and / or report any unreasonable persistence, threats or offensive behaviour.

If you follow us you will get all of our latest news and updates. We do not automatically follow those who choose to follow us and if we follow you it does not imply endorsement of any kind.

Re-tweeting

We may share or re-tweet information relevant to our work and our followers. A re-tweet does not imply our endorsement of the message or an individual or organisation that the tweet originated from.
