Review of the directed management arrangements between Glasgow Housing Association and Local Housing Organisations

Section 68A of the Housing (Scotland) Act 2001 gives Scottish Ministers the power to direct certain landlords to delegate housing management functions to another landlord. The Scottish Housing Regulator exercises the regulatory powers on behalf of Scottish Ministers. The current directions which we issued to Glasgow Housing Association last year come to an end on 31 October 2010. We said that we would carry out a further review of these directions before then.

The two links below are our proposals for the review of these arrangements.

Section 68A Review - RSL Survey July 2010

2010 review of RMA -consultation proposals

We would welcome views and comments on our proposals and would ask that these are sent to us by 18 August 2010.
Should you wish to discuss any of this beforehand, please contact Helen Shaw at helen.shaw@scottishhousingregulator.gsi.gov.uk.
